Typo raises a legal issue

Hello,

From your August 2, 2011 about trains through town:

Almonte and Carleton Place residents were surprised to hear the plaintiff sound of a train whistle this morning as an engine moved slowly through town.

I think the word should be plaintive – there is no legal issue with the train whistle …
