Home » Arts & Culture » Avenue Q coming to Almonte July 28Joey Graff grew up in Almonte and is a hard-working young arts student at Queen's University in Kingston. This summer, he's Director of Blue Canoe Production's "Avenue Q", the Broadway hit musical – a VERY adult and raunchy take-off on Sesame Street. "Avenue Q" is going to be presented in Kingston on August 11 & 12, the same weekend that Puppets Up! will be presented in Almonte.
Because Bob Graff – better known as BAKER BOB – is a very proud and supportive dad, and a supportive participant of Puppets Up!, he has decided to come out from behind the bakery counter to be a part-time producer. On July 28th, at the Almonte Old Town Hall, Baker Bob will present……." a Taste of Avenue Q"… a fundraiser for both Blue Canoe Productions and Puppets Up!
Joey Graff will be the Master of Ceremonies for the evening and will steer us through an entertaining selection of songs from "Avenue Q" as performed by his young and talented cast of singer/puppeteers. Puppets, songs and live music… what more could you want??
Tickets cost $12.00 and are available at Baker Bob's on Little Bridge Street in Almonte (256-7674) and at the door. Admission is for adults only – 18+.
