To be part of Savour Ottawa's Harvest Table <http://www.savourottawa.ca/events.php> will be both exciting and so delicious. This unique luncheon brings Ottawa farmers and their produce into the hands of local chefs who will create unique dishes with the produce and bring about a great meal.
The event takes place Sunday, August 19th, from noon until 2 p.m., in the charming Brewer Park adjacent to the Farmers Market. Despite the lack of rain these past weeks the farmers are thrilled to be able to open the door for everyone to understand the joy and health benefits of choosing locally grown fruits and vegetables. Tickets are available this Sunday at Ottawa Farmers' Market in Brewer Park and online at www.harvesttable.eventbrite.com <http://www.harvesttable.eventbrite.com> . Discounted group tickets for families and businesses are available too. Individual tickets include five-course luncheon and local beer or wine. Cream of the Crop tickets include the above as well as a guided tour of the Ottawa Farmers' Market hosted by C'est Bon Cooking including specially prepared hors d'oeuvres, and local beer or wine.
Participating farms for the lunch are from the Ottawa Farmers' Market and local restaurants include: Rainbow Heritage Farms, Bryson Farms, Upper Canada Heritage Meat, Fitzroy Beef Farmers Co-operative, Acorn Creek Garden Farm, Rochon Garden Farm, Thyme & Again Creative Catering, The Piggy Market, Delta Ottawa, Fairmont Chateau Laurier, and many more.
