The charm of Mill Street is dressed up with these painted curtains that were added to shop windows by  Jeff Banks of JB Arts and his team of painters for the Puppets Up Festival on August 11. At the end of August many shops retained their curtains – a good choice. They add a special flavour to the street and town and make Mill Street a magical place.

The store owners should leave the painted curtains up until the end of summer. Gives our town more character!

I agree. The curtains make the street that much more special. Someone shuld contact MAAP and have them ask businesses to keep the curtains until at least Thanksgiving if possible. We often have even mopre visitors to downtown in the Fall than the summer.
