For the Birds: Common Redpolls & more!

Happy February!

Well, it’s been a long time since I have last posted and for that I apologize. We are still trying to sell our home and things have been very busy.

It’s been great lately with the birds in the neighbourhood!  We have been blessed with an influx of Common Redpolls and Pine Siskins amongst the usual visitors, like the Blue Jays, Downy & Hairy Woodpeckers, the Nuthatches, Junco’s and of course our wonderful little Black-capped Chickadees.

Also, I have been keeping my eye out for our Snowy Owl visitors.  I managed to spot one last week on the way home, just off the 417 and Kinburn up on a lamppost.  I did go for a drive up to the west-end of Ottawa to see the Snowy’s that are spending time there.  I spent a short while there.  I will only share one of the photo’s I snapped there.

Please take time to enjoy my recent photo shoots with my feathered friends!
