Looking for woodworking volunteers to support Malawi project

0

Have some carpentry skills? We are seeking folks to help us build bird houses and feeders, trellises,  garden  arbours, planters and other outdoor items to be sold at the upcoming Gardening and Outdoor Living Fundraiser on May 20th in support of the Likulezi Project. Help build the samples now and/or fill orders after the event.

The Likulezi Project is a grassroots community development organization in Phalombe, Malawi that is mostly run by Malawian volunteers. Started in 1990, the Project initially provided HIV/ AIDS education to the community and palliative home care to those dying of AIDS. It then expanded to help provide drinking water wells, agricultural support, sponsorship of orphans and their guardian families, and employment opportunities. It is a charity registered in Ireland as Africa Aware and supported by Almonte United Church.

Help support this amazing community project. On May 20th, the Gardening and Outdoor Living Fundraiser will feature some great presentations from gardeners, a silent auction, a plant sale, and new and gently used gardening and outdoor items.

Participate with this group of energized and dedicated volunteers and help a community in need. All levels of experience welcome.
