About Us

The Millstone is an on-line community newspaper focussing on the town of Mississippi Mills, Ontario, Canada, which includes  Appleton,  Almonte, Blakeney, Clayton,  Pakenham, and Ramsay Ward.  It provides an intelligent and informed source of news and opinions. Its name pays tribute to the strong history of mills in the area.

We are staffed entirely by volunteer members of the Almonte Press Club and are not dependent on advertising. We want to provide a valuable public service and will evolve with our readers to become an essential part of the Mississippi Mills landscape.

The Millstone is a publication  of the Almonte Press Club.
