Once again St. George’s Anglican Church in Clayton is hosting our annual fiddle service on Sunday, June 14, 2015. The music begins at 10 am with a variety of good old time fiddle pieces. The musicians this year include Kyle Felhaver from Arnprior, who has been the house fiddler for many years at various fiddling and step-dancing competitions throughout Ontario and is a well known fiddle, guitar and mandolin teacher: John Mitchell, who has been the house pianist at the Pembroke fiddling and step-dancing competition, from Orleans will tickle the ivories on piano: Ron Caron, Donna & Bruce Cummings and Dan O’Connell play with the Monday Night Fiddlers and Ray Lowe has been an eager student of Kyle’s and the driving force behind the fiddle service from the beginning. During the Morning Prayer service, which will begin at 10:30am, Rev. Pat Blythe has chosen a nice selection of familiar hymns for the congregation to sing along with our guest musicians. Visitors are invited to stay for lunch following the service. Everyone is welcome. For more information contact Ray at 613-256-9010 or the website stgeorgechurchclayton.web.com.
