Hub Hospice_Movies on the Mississippi_poster[150120]-page-001Please join us on June 14 for the final film of Movies on the Mississippi’s first season, when we show Still Alice at the Almonte Old Town Hall at 1 p.m.

In Still Alice, we see Julianne Moore in her Oscar-award winning role as Alice Howland, happily married and a renowned linguistics professor. When she receives a devastating diagnosis of early onset Alzheimer’s, Alice and her family find their bonds tested.

Working with Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), Movies on the Mississippi presents world-class films in support of Hub Hospice Palliative Care. Tickets are available at Baker Bob’s and Pêches & Poivre in Almonte, at Nicholson’s in Pakenham, or at the door.

Movies on the Mississippi gratefully acknowledges our partnership with Film Circuit, presented by TIFF and its sponsors and supporters. Proceeds from our movies support Hub Hospice Palliative Care, a registered charity providing home hospice palliative support to residents of Mississippi Mills, Carleton Place and North Lanark.
