This will be the first public presentation of Mississippi Mill’s Municipal Cultural Plan. You can download the Mississippi Mills Cultural Plan here. This plan was accepted by Council on March 4, 2014.
Our cultural summit will bring together cultural and heritage stakeholders to implement outstanding Cultural Plan initiatives:
- Establish a Cultural Roundtable. The Roundtable as a cross-sectional leadership group with members from cultural groups, events, festivals, businesses, and the community. It will work collaboratively to implement the Cultural Plan.
- Recruit Cultural Champions. Champions are advocates or ambassadors for the Cultural Plan, who will promote it in the community following strategy suggestions made at the Cultural Summit.
- Establish Performance Measures. We need measurements, baseline data and indicators to demonstrate the impact of implementing the Cultural Plan.
The event is free; funded by fundraising initiatives of the Arts and Cultural Advisory Committee. Registration is mandatory for coordination of meals and refreshments.
