Lanark United Church Celebrates Anniversary on October, 18
Members of St. Andrew’s United Church will be celebrating 192 years as a church on the Clarence Street hill. The Anniversary service, to be held on October 18th, will welcome former minister Rev. Elaine Hall as our guest speaker. Rev. Elaine Hall and her husband Rev. Don Wilmer shared the pastoral duties in the Balderson/Lanark charge from 2001 to 2011. Following the service a light lunch will be served. All are welcome to attend this special service.
Turkey Supper – October 25th
The anniversary celebrations will also include an “all you can eat” turkey supper, with all the trimmings, and complimented by a large selection of homemade pies. Entertainment for those waiting to join the feast will be provided by the “Twilight Two”. For this Sunday night supper, doors will open at 4:00 pm. The cost is a very reasonable $15.00 for adults, $7.00 for children aged 5 to 10 years and those under 5 are free.
