‘The Business of Health Care’ – November 26

Almonte General Hospital

Special Note Event is Thursday

Ever try to run a business where you have no sales, your revenue is set, the services you can offer are regulated and the number of customers you will be required to serve is just a good guess? Welcome to the world of hospital care. Fortunately we have an expert, Mary Wilson Trider, CEO of the Almonte General Hospital, who will be helping to clarify how this system works. From where the money comes from, to why certain services are not offered in every hospital. Join us Thursday, Nov. 26 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Octagon Room, Old Fairview Manor,  on the AGH-FVM campus

Mary has been the President & CEO of Almonte General Hospital since October 2010. She previously held Vice President positions in several hospitals in the GTA. Mary has been active in numerous committees at the Ontario Hospital Association and the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care. Her current commitments include the  OHA Small, Rural and Northern Hospital Provincial Leadership Council.  She is Co-Chair of the Champlain LHIN CEO Leadership Forum. A graduate of Queen’s University, Mary is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario, the Canadian College of Health Leaders and the American College of Healthcare Executives. She is a member of the Queen’s University Board of Trustees and the Board of Directors of Ontario 211 Services Corporation.
