Mills Community Support, in partnership with The Hub and the Almonte Lions Club, is once again running the Angel Tree program, which provides gifts for children 14 and under in Mississippi Mills. But time is running out, and although many generous angels have already participated, we still have 20 tags on the tree – each representing a child who might not have quite so merry a Christmas this year. And the deadline is DECEMBER 14.
We still need 20 speedy angels!
How the Angel Tree program works: Each child registered for the program is profiled on a tag on the Angel Tree, with a description of their age, interests, and wishes. You visit our office at 67 Industrial Drive and select an Angel Tree gift tag. As an Angel, you then purchase gifts to match the profile on the tag, and return the unwrapped gifts by WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 14, so that we and our partners can distribute them in time for Christmas.
Our office is open from 8:30 to 4:30 on weekdays. Call us at (613) 256-1031 for more information. Cash donations to support the program are also gratefully accepted.
Be an Angel – and make Christmas merry for a child in Mississippi Mills.
