Valley Voices Choir starts again on September 6

The Valley Voices is a fun and affordable amateur choir operating in the Almonte area.  We sing a variety of musical genres throughout the year, including show tunes, folk music, old favourites, and new pop songs.  Led by the dynamic Becky Schweizer, and accompanied on piano by Carol Mortimer, we practice once a week, on Thursday evenings between 7:30 and 9:00 pm.
We use sheet music.  No music reading ability is required, because we learn our parts separately with the help of the piano before putting it together in four-part harmony.
The choir gives two friendly concerts a year to raise funds for new music and the Mississippi Mills Textile Museum. We have been of Almonte’s music scene for well over a decade.
Valley Voices welcomes a wide range of abilities, and you can try us out a few times for free.  Our first practice is on Thursday September 6th, at the Mississippi Mills Textile Museum (upper entrance), starting at 7:30 pm.  If you decide to join, fees are an affordable $30 for the fall session.
