Food Bank annual BOGO dinner blossoms into an English Garden Party
Lanark County Food Bank – The Hunger Stop’s annual Community BOGO (Buy One Give One) Dinner is Sunday, May 26 and with this year’s English Garden Party theme, it promises to blossom with top hats and fascinators.
The event has grown so popular it has moved to a bigger venue — the upstairs hall of the Carleton Place arena. Doors open with hors d’oeuvres, courtesy of Bruce Osborne at More than Enough Financial Fitness at 5 p.m. and dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m.
Ian Carswell of the Black Tartan Kitchen, and Rob Carpenter, the Beckwith Butcher, are back creating a mouth-watering dinner. Maurine Adair of the Beckwith Kitchen will cap the night with sweets.
Tickets at $30 each or a table of 8 for $220 can be purchased The Granary Bulk and Natural Foods, The Beckwith Butcher, and the Lanark County Food Bank-The Hunger Stop as well as online.
