A Political Stand

In 2012 a grove of maple trees was planted beside the Mississippi Mills Municipal office to honour the past mayors and reeves of Mississippi Mills, Pakenham and Almonte. This year Mayor Levi added to the grove by planting his own maple tree. The grove will continue to grow with each new Mayor. A new plaque to accompany the ‘Political Stand’ grove was also unveiled Saturday. The plaque will be hung inside the Municipal Office and lists the names of each of the honoured Mayors and Reeves carved into the Maple leaves.
