The Almonte General Hospital/Fairview Manor Foundation is looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual to join its Board to help lead the Foundation and achieve its strategic objectives over the next three years.
The Foundation’s mission is to provide funds to support the goals and objectives of the Almonte General Hospital/Fairview Manor.
Foundation Board members play a vital role in the raising of funds for essential medical equipment and capital projects.
The Almonte General Hospital/Fairview Manor Foundation Board has ten elected members and two appointed members.
The elected members can serve a maximum of three, three-year terms. The terms are staggered to ensure continuity on the Board. There is currently one vacant position on the Board.
The ten elected members are from the catchment area of the Almonte General Hospital. The appointed members are the Almonte General Hospital/Fairview Manor President and CEO and a person appointed by the Hospital/Manor Board.
Foundation Board meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month from September to June. Special meetings are held in July and August at the call of the Chair. All Board meetings are open to the public. Meetings are held in-camera when the Board considers matters relating to personnel and property.
Board members are asked to serve on at least one committee to further the good work of the Foundation.
