The survey reports on “Patient Ratings of Overall Care and Likelihood to Recommend”. The categories that applied to AGH included Acute Inpatient Care, Emergency Department, and Maternity Care.
AGH is the top performer in Ontario for Maternity Care, earning 100%, in the overall care rating and likelihood to recommend at 94%. Thirty-nine hospitals were rated in this category. This is the second consecutive year that AGH achieved this distinction.
The Emergency Department at AGH placed in the top 10 percent of 129 hospitals in Ontario for overall care and likelihood to recommend. AGH achieved the same distinction for likelihood to recommend in the Acute Care Inpatient category, which included 104 hospitals.
“To have placed so well in all three categories is extraordinarily gratifying, and to be the Top Performer in Maternity Care two years in a row, is a real point of pride for us,” said Mary Wilson Trider, President and CEO of Almonte General Hospital. “We thank our patients for sharing their opinions through the NRCC survey process. These results demonstrate that the members of the AGH team are top performers. Their commitment and efforts in providing compassionate care with pride and excellence are making a huge difference for the patients and families we serve”.
