Backyard birds, December 16 2020

by Brent Eades

One benefit of the strangeness of 2020 is that I’ve been working from home since last March — which means I have many more opportunities to photograph the birds in my yard than I did before. Usually I was in the city when birds arrived at my feeders during the winter, which is the only time I fill them. Here are a few that I’ve seen this week.

Northern cardinal
Downy woodpecker
House finch
Blue jay
White-breasted nuthatch
