Canadian Ski Patrol logoTeams go head-to head to test advanced first aid skills

The Canadian Ski Patrol (CSP) – Gatineau Zone is holding its annual first aid competition at Mount Pakenham on February 21, 2015 from 1:00 pm to 3 pm. The competition challenges teams of ski patrollers from local area ski hills within the Gatineau Zone.

Patrollers from all over the Gatineau Zone send their three-person first aid teams through a series of real-life scenarios to find out who are the best advanced first-aiders. The top teams will go on to complete at the provincial level in Abitibi in March, with the chance to compete nationally in May in Montreal.

All of the scenarios are done on the hill or in public areas, so the general public are encouraged to come out, watch, and cheer on the competitors. The day includes a hands-on first aid competition, a giant slalom race, a fun competition and a banquet dinner and awards.

About the Canadian Ski Patrol – Gatineau Zone
