As of 2:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon, Highway 7 was closed between Highway 15 and Townline Road following a vehicle collision. It happened just west of the new Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority headquarters on 7.
No details are available at this time. However, at the scene a truck was visible off the road near the Mississippi River bridge. An officer was heard on the police and fire scanner asking for the coroner to attend.
UPDATE – The OPP confirms that a 49-year-old Orleans man died in the crash after his car crossed the centre line and collided with the truck.
