For the Birds: More than a Mouthful

Good Monday!

Every Monday I am always amazed at the things I can see within a week period.  Just when I think there isn’t anything all that great to share on my post, I am thankful that ‘something’ happens.

Yesterday I went out on White Lake with my husband and I spotted a loon family. I believe a mother loon and her 2 young ones.  The awesome thing was that I witnessed this loon eating a sunfish.  It was quite the feat I can tell you, complete with a lot of pushing the fish down, bringing it up, pushing it down in the water again, and bringing it up.  I am not exactly sure what she was doing, but I caught it in photographs.

Also, on White Lake, I spotted a few Osprey.  I am always thrilled to see them as they are such a beautiful bird!

Earlier in the week, I went back to see if I could spot the Crane family and was able to photograph them  from a better vantage point.

Please enjoy my offerings from this week.

Have an awesome week of Feather, Wings & Beaks!
