House fire on Ottawa Street Tuesday

by Brent Eades

Quick work by the Mississippi Mills volunteer fire department appears to have prevented major damage to a single-story home at 295 Ottawa Street late on Tuesday afternoon.

As of 4:20 p.m. firefighters had the blaze contained to one end of the structure, and it appeared to be largely under control. No further information is available at this time.
