In late November 2013, the Hub held a very successful Glitz Gala to support local projects, one being the Hub Hospice. At the Hospice Board meeting on February 6, event organizers Judy Lawton and Ingrid Harris were pleased to present a cheque for $2500.00 to the hospice.
Since its inception over a year ago, the Hub has continued to support the hospice. In just over six months, they have given the hospice over $4500.00, the proceeds of the gala as well as the donation jar that sits on the counter at the Hub.
Hospice Chair Christine Bois expressed thanks on behalf of the board, adding that community support through the Hub is most welcome and appreciated.
