On Friday (the 13th, but we're not superstitious!), you can dream big by attending a Travel Adventure Presentation about sailing the South Pacific & Caribbean. There will be talks and slides, displays, dessert and coffee, and even a silent auction. Proceeds go to the Likulezi Community Care Project in Malawi. The event gets underway at 6:30pm at the Almonte United Church. Tickets are only $10 ($7 students, under 10 free) at Vamos and Baker Bob's, or $12 at door.
All weekend long, you can drop in to the Home & Fashion Show over in Carleton Place, where you'll be sure to find what you need to spruce things up for the season. The show runs on Friday from 6-9pm, on Saturday from 9-6, and on Sunday from 10-4. Admissions to the lower hall is just $3 (12 and under get in free), and includes live music by the Bowes Brothers, Wade Foster and more. Another $2 gets you into the upper hall to catch the women's wear fashion show and brial show.
On Saturday, April 14 from 9-1 at the Almonte Civitan Hall it's out with the old and in with the new (to you) at the Cooperative Nursery School of Almonte's annual Mom to Mom Sale.
