Opponents of the Enerdu hydro project in Almonte gear up for a fight

Read this article in the Ottawa Citizen. The Mississippi RiverWatchers are spearheading opposition to the Enerdu hydro electric project which would narrow the Mississippi River at the  Barley Mow in Almonte, increasing the possibility of flooding, would alter the aesthetics of the upper falls, a major asset to the town,  and potentially increase damage upstream from the proposed dam.

The RiverWatchers are holding a major information meeting at the Civitan Hall in Almonte on Thursday,  April 11 at 7 p.m. to explain what they have learned about this project.
