Over 200 turn out for ‘Festival of the Wild Child’

They came with their nets and in their boots and found a host of wonderful nature discoveries at High Lonesome Nature Reserve.

Over 200 parents and children enjoyed an adventurous day at the Festival of the Wild Child, two days of exploration: wading into ponds, identifying trees along a forest trail, studying rocks through a microscope and many, many more interesting activities.

This event was sponsored by Vamos Outdoors in Almonte who are always willing to help visitors with their outdoor pursuits (vamosoutdoors.ca).
