Almonte pedestrian injured by snowmobile in Bridge Street accident

Officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a collision between a snowmobile and a pedestrian on Bridge Street, Almonte in the Town of Mississippi Mills at around 2.46 am on Friday 27th December 2013.

Ryan Miller (23 years old) of the Town of Mississippi Mills was charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • one count of dangerous operation causing bodily harm
  • one count of failure to stop at the scene of an accident
  • one count of impaired operation
  • one count of driving with over 80 mgs of alcohol per 100mls

Miller was released to appear a later date at the Provincial Court in Perth.

The pedestrian, a 28-year-old man, was taken by ambulance to Almonte Hospital with serious injuries.
