A meeting will be held this evening, October 18 at the town council chambers at 3131 Old Perth Road, Almonte, Ontario in order to consider an application to amend the Town of Mississippi Mills Zoning By-law #01-70 as it applies to lands described as Part of Lot 16, Concession 12, Registered Plan 26R-2220 being Parts 1 and 2, Ramsay Ward, Town of Mississippi Mills. The Municipal address 4690 March Road in the Town of Mississippi Mills, Ramsay Ward. .
The purpose of the zoning by-law amendment is to change the zoning of the subject property from "Rural (RU) Zone" to "Rural Commercial Industrial Special Exception (C5-X) Zone". The site specific amendment is to accommodate a new contractor establishment and accessory storage yard.The applicants intend to constuct a 4000-5000 ft building to house a forming company, The building will have office space and indoor parking for truck use in the winter. The remaining footprint will be used for outside storage of materials and equipment typically used in the forming business. The lot will also be used for parking pick-up trucks, cube vans and utility trailers in off hours. The property is on the Burnt Lands Area of Natural and Scientific Interest. It also falls within the 25 year sensitivity of the wellhead protection area.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition of the proposed amendment. If you wish to be notified after a decision regarding the zoning amendment has been made, you must make a written request to the Corporation of the Town of Mississippi Mills.
