Last night the Ramsay Women’s Institute recognized two members who have contributed to the branch and our community for over 50 years with Life memberships.Doris Camelon and Dorothy Lowry were the worthy recipients.

When asked for a highlight, Dorothy mentioned the exciting event in August of 1976 when we catered to the wives of the Commonwealth Heads of State at the Mill of Kintail. Government House supplied the linen, china and crystal for the tables on the lawn and the RCMP security were visible in the bush.

winners Barbara Armstrong,Sandra Lowry,Shirley Martin and Mary Cochran

The other highlight of the annual Valentine’s meeting was when Cindy Zorgel performed her magic with floral design and members bought tickets for a chance to take them home. According to our Roll Call “When you were surprised with flowers”,it would be the best bet for a Valentine bouquet for most of us!

Winners Betty Hardie, Terry Clarke, Amanda
