The Ottawa Citizen today published an obituary notice for The Reverend Hanns Skoutajan, who long-time residents may fondly remember as the popular minister of Almonte United Church from 1964 to 1969.
The obituary notes that Rev. Skoutajan wrote a memoir describing “his dramatic journey from Nazi-occupied Sudetenland prior to WWII and his search for home” here in Canada, and that he had a “life-long commitment to social justice… realized through his work as a United Church minister and social activist.”
