This Saturday October 14 will be an exciting day at the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum.

Not only are we hosting The Millworkers’ Reunion, but we are launching the video, “Millworkers’ Memories,” a fascinating record of interviews with former mill workers made over the past three years. It’s a wonderful view into the daily life in Almonte’s mills, as well as life in a mill town.

And the celebration of the town’s mills doesn’t end there. A new exhibition opens in the Norah Rosamond Hughes Gallery. Artists Noelle Hamlyn and Jenny McMaster capture the rise and fall of the industry in “Rewind: Topologies of Time.” The “Quilt for Canada 125” is still on display as is “The Fifty-Mile Coat.”

Don’t miss the chance to drop by the Museum from 2 pm to 4 pm this Saturday and enjoy all these events.
