St. Mary’s Catholic Women’s League is hosting their Annual Fall Tea and Bazaar this Saturday October 27 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Almonte Civitan Hall, 500 Almonte Street. Entrance to the hall is FREE. Come out to enjoy the many great deals on home baking, jewelry, purses and scarves, books, and linens. The Spin & Win game, a favourite among the young and adults alike, will be open for a chance to win a little prize, and of course, Raffle Tickets for a chance to win $1000, $500, or $250 will be available for sale until the draw at 3 p.m. Raffle tickets cost $2 each, or 3 for $5.

As always, the Tea, at a cost of $7.00 per person, will provide sustenance with a light luncheon of sandwiches, pickles, squares, and tea/coffee. This aspect of the event is always popular for its quality, and the chance to sit down and chat with friends.

This year, there are two lovely door prizes for the young and young at heart, the draws to be held just before the draws for the Raffle prizes. Get your name in the pot to win one of them! Children are welcome, and it is a great place to help them do a little Christmas shopping at a price they can afford.

The proceeds from the Tea and Bazaar are used to fund various projects and charities supported by the Catholic Women’s League, of local, regional, provincial, national, and international concern. For example, the National CWL has established the theme “Homelessness”, and our local CWL has contributed to the needs of those without permanent homes in Lanark County, Ottawa, and Toronto over the past year, using some of the funds raised last year from the Tea and Bazaar.

Help us to continue our work by supporting this year’s Fall Tea and Bazaar on Saturday! We look forward to seeing you there!
