A brief but violent windstorm blew through town this evening as temperatures dropped suddenly — we’re looking at a high of 8 degrees tomorrow.
And it brought down a large evergreen from my neighbour’s property on to the adjacent power line, beside my house — the street has been filled with firefighters and hydro crews since. As well as the sound of chainsaws.
No serious harm done though, it seems.
