Tea on the Lawn – A Summer Tradition

The Ramsay Women’s Institute has been serving Tea on the Lawn at the Mill of Kintail for almost 60 years. Our 2017 season starts on July 1 and continues every Wednesday and Saturday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 pm in July and August.

Institute members invite you to enjoy a relaxing time with friends and family on the grounds beside the museum. The tables are set under the shady maple trees with views of the Indian River. We serve delicious homemade tea breads and a pot of tea in fancy tea cups or refreshing lemonade.

Plan your outing to the Mill of Kintail Conservation Area which is located ten minutes from Almonte. It is home to the R Tait McKenzie Museum, James Naismith Museum, a playground and hiking trails.
