Readers of the Millstone will be interested in this excellent series on TVO. It deals, in three high-definition documentary episodes, with our area, the space between the Canadian Shield and the St. Lawrence Lowlands. Home to a series of overlapping species from the north and south, this area has nurtured First Nations cultures for thousands of years. European settlers were at first baffled by its diverse rock barrens, rivers lakes and marshlands. The series is available on TVO’s website. The first in the series was rebroadcast on January 9, 2016. The next episode will be broacast at 7 p.m. on Friday January 16.
