The Mill Street Crepe Company enjoys early success

by Edith Cody-Rice

The Mill Street Crepe Company in the Heritage Mall on Mill Street in Almonte, just opened its doors on June 29 and already it is a "go to" place for shoppers and strollers on Mill Street. The menu is simple and delicious, offering sweet and savoury crepes, sandwiches, salads and desserts. Owner Gord Pike says that the crepery is applying for a liquor licence and will serve European beers and wine, to give patrons a taste of Europe in Almonte.

When asked what has contributed to the resurging success of Mill Street, Mr Pike gave a significant measure of credit to Stephen Brathwaite's vision for the Almonte Centre.
