The Millstone is investigating the source of the power outage in Almonte that began about 4:30 p.m. March 1 and continued to 2:10 a.m. March 2. Ottawa River Power stated that it affected Hydro One customers, rural as well as town residents. It appeared to have affected most of the town of Almonte. Carleton Place and Appleton did not experience an outage. Ottawa River Power indicated that the source of the problem was Hydro One equipment and while crews from Ottawa River Power were out helping to identify the source of the problem and fix it, the Millstone should address its questions to Hydro One. We have contacted Hydro One and are waiting for a callback.
