On Wednesday, May 1, 2013, Douglas Love of Lanark Highlands Township was trapped under his tractor while trying to remove a cedar stump. The chain being used caused the tractor to flip over backwards pinning Mr. Love beneath it. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
