The Union Hall Community Centre is a Registered Charity, owned and operated by the local community. Largely self-sufficient, the Hall’s income is supplemented by private donations and much-appreciated financial support from the Municipality of Mississippi Mills. During the lockdown period, we have been busy upgrading the facility in preparation for a grand opening (COVID permitting) in the spring of 2022.
On Thanksgiving weekend, hand-crafted items created by Union Hall volunteers will again be offered for sale at the Almonte Farmers’ Market. Beautifully crafted wooden items, such as cutting boards artfully fashioned from a variety of hardwoods, will be on display, as well as one-of-a-kind yoga mat bags, tote bags, produce bags, cushions, etc., made from re-purposed fabric. Want something special? Ask about a custom order. Because both the labour and materials for all of our products are donated, 100% of the purchase price goes directly to the Union Hall’s Renovation Fund.
Looking forward to seeing you between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on October 9th, in the Almonte library parking lot. Cash or cheques accepted.
