Heather and Peter live on 2.06 acres in Ramsay, just outside of Almonte in Mississippi Mills. The trees – the bones of the property – were much appreciated when they moved in 19 years ago and since then, much to the worry of Peter, they have carved out herbaceous and vegetable gardens with an eye to having beauty all year ‘round.
The driveway not only provides host, lily and heuchera inspiration but showcases birdhouse creations and birdhouse gifts from friends, while during the growing season, is often a place for plants to rest at the side of the road “free to a growing home”.
Furgus, the great grey cat, keeps watch over all and tells them it is appreciated.
