Yard of the Week: Sheila Furlong

Mississippi Mills Yard of the Week is sponsored by the Almonte and District Horticultural Society.

Sheila Furlong has gardened at 161 Reserve Street in Almonte since 2014. She has re-modelled the front and side gardens. The front bed contains purple petunias, giant pink and fuschia cleome, grasses and shrubs, and multi-colored annuals. The side perennial bed carries through with the same grasses and shrubs, and includes purple coneflower, yellow rudbeckia, hosta, soloman’s seal, and pink and purple phlox. The porch is accented with two large planters containing pink, yellow, red and purple annuals and is framed by a large wisteria vine. This garden was nominated by Carolyn Klickermann.
