Dalton Bruce Eastman

Lifetime Dairy Farmer – Centuryholm Farm

With heartfelt sadness, we announce the passing of Dalton Bruce Eastman, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and lifelong dairy farmer, who passed away early Tuesday morning, July 14, 2026 at the age of 89 years.

Dalton was born to John Eastman and Gertrude (Baird) Eastman of Kinburn, Ontario. After meeting the love of his life, Betty Needham, they married and settled on their cherished family farm, Centuryholm Farm, in Kinburn. Together they built not only a successful dairy operation but also a loving home where family, faith, and hard work were at the heart of everything they did. For more than 60 years, Dalton and Betty worked side by side, raising their family while caring for the land and livestock they loved.

In February of this year, Dalton suffered the profound loss of his beloved Betty after 65 years of marriage.

Dairy farming was more than Dalton’s occupation—it was his calling. He was deeply committed to his herd taking immense pride in his farm.

He was a proud father to Lynn Saunders (Troy), Darlene Jahn (Kevin McGonigal), and John (Jennifer). Cherished Grandpa of Ashley Maltais (Jevin), Amanda Weiberg (Kevin), Rebecca Saunders (Jeff), Andrew Jahn (Natalie), Jenna Lockwood (James), Avaleigh Schouten (Michael), Kaitlyn Rouleau (Nathan), and Victoria Buma (Jason). Dalton was also the proud great-grandfather of seventeen great-grandchildren.

Dear brother-in-law of Pat Horner (Al). Predeceased by his sister, Erva Rivington (Donald); his brother, Melvin Eastman, brother-in-law, Melvin Needham (Nancy); and his sisters-in-law, Rose McConnell (Bert) and Iva Mondor (Aurel).

The family extends its sincere gratitude to the compassionate staff of the Arnprior Grove Nursing Home for the exceptional care, kindness, and dignity they provided to Dalton during his time there.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Pilon Family Funeral Home in Arnprior, where visitation will be held on Monday morning, July 20th from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.

A Funeral Service will be conducted in the Pilon Family Chapel on Monday morning at 11 o’clock. The service will be webcast live for those unable to attend. A reception will follow. Interment will take place at Diamond Cemetery, Kinburn. In memory of Dalton, donations to the Diamond Cemetery would be sincerely appreciated.
