A feature story today from CBC Ottawa described how Almonte has become the go-to location for several movies over the past two years.
The story talks about the five movies shot here recently and notes the financial benefits these shoots can bring to the town.
According to the CBC the latest film shooting here is “A Christmas Festival of Ice, a story about a woman who finds out her hometown ice sculpting competition has been cancelled due to lack of funding. She makes it her mission to get the festival back up and running and falls in love in the process.”
Baker Bob is quoted as saying, “I guess we are a mini-Hollywood of the Valley.”
