This Sunday the 29th of June at 3 pm the creativity of grades three to six students from Naismith Public School will be on show along the Alameda. Almonte artist Jennifer Zeitz has been working with budding artists over the past few months creating sculptures from found objects and wood scraps. The task was to create work on the theme of Home and Community. The results are fascinating and strong.
In preparation for the exhibition Chad Labine of LBL Excavation and Trucking volunteered to help clean up the area and move rocks into place to weigh down the platforms on which the work is displayed. His kindness speaks volumes about the nature of the community that is the inspiration of the students art. Come and celebrate the student work.
Thanks Chad.
