Mr. Jack Elgood was invited by the Almonte Civitan Club to be the honorary ribbon cutter as he has been a long-time attendee at the Burns auctions held at the Civitan Community hall. That he currently uses a walker from the club’s Medical Loan Cupboard is a small sample of Civitans helping in our community. Now that the hall is fully handicapped-accessible it was decided to have an ‘official’ dedication. Assisting him were: Civitan Wayne Hand, Civitan Sharon Libbey (President) and Civitan Dolly Toshack. The Civitan Hall continues to be a very busy location.
