Jill’s acrylic artworks are colourful, lively and often incorporate asurprising anecdote. Not landscape paintings but inspired by rural life (the best lifestyle). She exhibits across Ontario and her customers are a diverse group.

Having now lived in the Ottawa Valley town of Almonte for 16 years, Jill is inspired more than ever to relate local and folk histories in the subject matter of her paintings. Jill’s series of clothes flying from laundry lines – in wide-open landscapes or local spaces – continues, but there are always new works “in-the-works”. Jill had an exciting and successful exhibition at the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum – Combinations, Crinolines & Clotheslines – in the summer of 2013 and, as one result of this show, and her experimentation in preparing for it, Jill has continued her series of paintings of dress forms.
