Last Saturday morning several of Sarah Spinks’ friends from St. Paul’s Anglican Church followed pipers Iain Slingerland (left) and Neil MacLeod of the Almonte Legion Pipe Band a short distance along Napier Street to help celebrate Sarah’s birthday.
She was surprised and pleased, perhaps by the attention but more at seeing her friends who waved and cheered for her. And we all lustily sang “Happy Birthday” to her accompanied by the pipes.
Thanks to both pipers for their time and generosity, and to Karen Luyendyk of St. Paul’s who organized us all!
