Abbie Creighton of Carleton Place is the winner of the Shoppers Drub Mart raffle in aid of the Almonte General Hospital. The draw was held last Saturday and the winner received got a $3000.00 Air Canada Gift Card donated by Shoppers Drug Mart Almonte. All proceeds of the raffle will go to the Almonte General Hospital. After a 5 week fundraising campaign The Almonte Shoppers Drug Mart team came up short of its goal of $10,000.00, but Tommy Lam, the owner of The Almonte Shoppers Drug Mart has made up the difference and the total donation to The Almonte General Hospital is $10,000.00.
Shoppers says that a large portion of these funds were raised by their generous customers and hard working staff. They want to thank everyone for all their efforts.
