Theresa Peluso is a retired elementary-school teacher who has a strong interest in environmental issues and town planning. She has been living in Blakeney with her husband (also retired) for the last 7 years. During the 18 years that she lived in Kanata (prior to moving to Mississippi Mills), she worked with the Kanata-Stittsville Voice on Planning to try to protect farmland and develop a pedestrian-friendly town centre. (She can’t be held responsible for the actual outcome!) In her spare time she sits on the Environmental Advisory Committee, writes letters and articles, participates in community-planning discussions, dotes on her garden, volunteers at a local school, and attempts to develop her music, tennis and dance skills.
